The Friends of the Sister Bay Ice Rink will enter into an operating agreement with the Village of Sister Bay to share in the ongoing operational costs of the facility, primarily but not limited to electricity for operating the refrigeration system and wages for staff. The Friends will work with the village to agree upon operating procedures, hiring, day–to–day rink management and to delineate responsibilities for the rink.

The Friends will be responsible for:

• Supporting the manager in soliciting sponsorships
• Promotion of the rink, leagues and activities
• Annual fundraising activities and events
• Soliciting annual memberships
• Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintaining the rink surface and equipment, managing concessions and rental items
• Setting up hockey, broomball and pond hockey leagues and lessons
• Working with village to hire rink staff

The Village will be responsible for:

• Continued maintenance of grounds (plowing snow, non–ice rink maintenance, upkeep of warming house and concessions stand, cleaning, utilities and lights) as is performed today
• Working with Friends to hire rink staff
• Payroll, insurance
